نجمة كنعان (نجمة بيت لحم) هي رمز تاريخي وثقافي عريق يمتد بجذوره إلى حضارات بلاد الشام القديمة والتراث الفلسطيني الفلكلوري. تمتاز هذه النجمة بتصميمها ثماني الأطراف الناتجة عن تداخل مربعين بزاوية 45 درجة. تُعد نجمة كنعان الثمانية واحدة من أقدم الزخارف في الفن الكنعاني القديم. وفي الثقافة الفلسطينية، تُعرف باسم "نجمة بيت لحم" وهي من أشهر وأقدم القطب (الغرز) الأساسية في التطريز الفلسطيني التقليدي (التلحمي)، وترمز إلى الهوية، والأمل، والإرشاد، والاستمرارية.

The Star of Canaan (also known as the Star of Bethlehem) is an ancient historical, religious, and cultural motif deeply rooted in the heritage of the Levant and Palestinian folklore. It is traditionally depicted as an eight-pointed star (octagram) formed by intersecting two squares.
The eight-pointed star is one of the oldest decorative emblems in ancient Canaanite art. In Palestinian heritage, it is famously referred to as the "Star of Bethlehem" and serves as a fundamental and enduring motif in traditional Palestinian embroidery (Tatreez) symbolizing guidance, hope, identity, and cultural continuity.
