Tibetan Meditation Shop

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👌👌👌👌👌

The Tibetan Meditation Shop arises from the will of some members of the Guhya Mantrika Community of Tibetan Buddhism to support the development and expansion of Buddha Dharma in Portugal, Europe and the rest of the world. All Buddhist activity is unpaid, so some financial support is needed so that the activities and places where the Dharma is transmitted can be sustained, such as the Retreat Centre in Alcácer do Sal and the Ngedon Shedrup Phuntsok Ling monastery in Nepal. We rely on the support of the Lamas in Portugal and Nepal to choose the best and most appropriate articles for practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism. The other products are chosen personally during the pilgrimage trips of the community members together with the manufacturers themselves.

Delog Journey to Realms Beyond Death - €20.00

Delog Journey to Realms Beyond Death. The Tibetan word Delog (DAY-loak) refers to someone who has crossed the threshold of death and returned to recount it. For Delog Dawa Drolma, a woman recognized as one of the realization holders of Vajrayana Buddhism of this century, to be a Delog meant that she came to be without any vital signs of breath, pulse, or heat for five days. During that time the link between her mind and body was released and her consciousness travelled to other realms of existence. What she saw, recounted in these pages, engendered her boundless compassion for sentient beings. She experienced the almost unimaginable contrast between the existence of the pure manifestation of enlightened mind and existence within samsaric delusion and ignorance.

"Delog's experience is extraordinary, wonderful, even in the esoteric context of the Tibetan schools of Vajrayana Buddhism. The story of Delog Dawa Drolma has the power and urgency of direct experience, and I believe that those who read it will discover that the phenomena of these realms correspond to aspects of their own mental experiences. May its words inspire high spiritual attainment, may they guide any being who reads them into the realm of the victorious. His Holiness Chagdud Tulku

Dawa Drolma, a great lama of Vajrayana Buddhism and mother of Chadud Tulku Rinpoche, lived in Kham in Eastern Tibet. At the age of 16 she felt ill and died, but returned to her body after 5 days and lived to the age of 30. For the benefit of all she recorded every detail of her experience in the bardo and pure realms. Her daughter, T'hrinlay Wagmo, preserved this diary until 1987 when Chadud Rinpoche rescued it from Chinese occupied Tibet to be published in the West.

Milarepa - €20.00

Milarepa. A renowned meditation master recounts the story and songs of achievement of Tibet's best-known and best-loved religious figure - and reveals how they relate to our daily lives.

He went from being the worst and most evil sorcerer to a devout and ascetic Buddhist practitioner to a fully enlightened being, all in the same lifetime. The story of Milarepa (1040-1123) is a tale of an extreme and powerful transformation that we might think has no direct application to our less dramatic lives - but Chögyam Trungpa shows us otherwise.

This collection of teachings from the life and songs of the great poet and master of Tibetan Buddhism reveals how Milarepa's difficulties can be a source of guidance and inspiration to anyone. His troubles, his awakening, and the teachings of his exceptional songs provide precious wisdom to all practitioners and show what diligent and devout practice can achieve.

CHÖGYAM TRUNGPA (1940-1987) - meditation master, teacher, and artist - founder of Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado; the Shambhala training program; and the international association of meditation centres known as Shambhala. He is the author of several books including Shambhala: Sacred Path of the Warrior, and Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism.

JUDITH L. LIEF is a senior teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage and a long-time editor of the works of Chögyam Trungpa.

The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel - €15.00

The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel. In the tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, devotion to the guru or spiritual guide is considered to be of utmost importance in spiritual practice. These instructions from Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, based on the teachings of the great eighteenth century master and visionary Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa, focus on the devotional practice of Guru Yoga, "Merging with the Mind of the Guru".

The Guru is like a wishing jewel providing all the qualities of fulfilment, a father and mother giving their love equally to all sentient beings, a great river of compassion, a mountain above worldly concerns unaffected by the wind of emotions, and a great cloud with rain to soothe the torments of passions. In short, he is the same as all the Buddhas. To make any connection with him, whether by looking at him, hearing his voice, remembering him, or being touched by his hand, will lead us to liberation. Having complete trust in him is the sure path to enlightenment. The warmth of his wisdom and compassion will melt the ore of our being and release the gold of our inner Buddha nature.

Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche (1910-1991) was a respected meditation master and scholar of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. He is also the author of Heart Treasure of the Enlightened Ones and Heart of Compassion.
