Hello, my name is Gonçalo Carvalho, and I’m your Narrator. Welcome to another update So let’s start with the aftermath of this year’s
It was during its 29th edition that the power of art brought people together once again. I saw people of all ages, from all corners of the world, with all kinds of beliefs united around what we love. In my space, House 72, I had visitors, gamers, and people from all walks of life having fun and enjoying literature whether in comic book form or not. We had conflict-free discussions about what unites us and what separates geeks and nerds, we were together, even though the trend in today’s world is for us to live in our own bubbles, and it was thanks to all of this that my heart was filled with joy 🖤
Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a pessimistic optimist and by that I mean I believe in the best but am always expecting the worst and it was with this mindset that I approached this year’s CLN. Thankfully, the optimist in me won out this time, especially since the pessimist has been winning way too often lately.I had friends drop by, comic book buyers, and fans of small but lovingly crafted pieces btw i still have houses 😅 I welcomed art lovers to see exhibition, which gave me the chance to have intellectually stimulating conversations, and on the last day I even had the pleasure of diving into the world of TTRPGs, a unique experience for anyone who loves a good read, thanks to the great Dungeon Master
I had the opportunity to reiterate that the Narrador project is here to stay and always intends to launch and support underground art through simple, transparent processes and always side-by-side with the artists. With that, I remind you that you are welcome to contact me about your projects or even leave pieces here in the store if that is the case.I’d like to wrap things up with the big news about the project: the launch of the zine A 9ª Bisga, which focuses on graphic art and serves as a tribute to everyone working in this field whether you’re writing like me or drawing for the zine. The Open Call is opened until October so we wait for your works in the e-mail onarr
