Shampoo bars are one of our all-time favourite swaps. It took us a while and a LOT of testing different brands until we found one that we absolutely loved (as both of us have really long hair and sensitive scalps it wasn't easy) but the shampoo bars that we've found in The Netherlands are incredible. They smell great, they come in different options (for dry hair, oily hair, anti-dandruff, etc) and they lather really well too, which is important for long hair otherwise you won't get all of it clean. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you've just started your zero waste journey, a shampooer is definitely a great way to start. It's an easy swap, a product you use daily or several times a week, and it's a swap that's going to reduce a lot of plastic very quickly.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Our top tip is to get a shampoobar-bag as well, as you can keep the shampoobar inside when washing your hair (the soap comes through the bag) and you can hang it up to dry. No hassle, good lather and it gives the shampoobar the chance to dry in between washes making it last longer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Looking around your bathroom for example, you'll find numerous things to swap; your toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, soap, shower pouffe, razor, etc, but we advise just trying to take it one swap at a time so it organically becomes part of your routine, a new normal as you will! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
