Everybody loves pebbles ... kids and adults alike :-)
They are like small gifts from nature - smoothened by water ... beautiful to look at and to hold in your hand. My pebbles are all personally collected from the beaches around Cascais and I enjoy that part a lot ... very peaceful especially in the early morning - just the sound of the waves and the rolling pebbles ...
When I paint them I always leave parts without color to show the original surface of the stone. I use white and black fineliners or water color pencils in "washed out" colors to keep the natural look. The prices do not only depend on the size of the stone but also on the color I use, the pattern, the type of stone (some are very rare to find ...) and other criteria. They usually range from €4 for the tiny pebble for your pocket up to €15 for a paper weight or €25 for a door stopper. If you like have a look at the albums where each pebble is listed.
