A high CRI is enough to guarantee good light quality? Not always.
Two light sources with the same CRI and colour temperature can have different spectral distributions and, as a result, change the way we perceive colours, materials and finishes.
Parameters such as R9, Rf and Rg, together with Spectral Power Distribution (SPD), allow us to go beyond a single value and better understand the quality of the light we are actually bringing into a space.
In our latest article, we explore these differences and explain why CRI remains important, but no longer tells the whole story.
