Davidoff Colorado Claro Special “T” from a 2014 original 100-cigar crate.

The Colorado Claro is one of Davidoff’s more distinctive blends, featuring a dark Ecuadorian sun-grown wrapper and a richer profile than the traditional Davidoff lines.

The Special “T” is the torpedo vitola, approximately 6” × 52, tapering toward the head.

This cigar comes from an original 2014 wooden crate containing 100 Special “T” ci**rs. Now approximately 12 years aged, the profile has developed into smooth cedar, cream, roasted nuts, subtle sweetness and refined pepper.

🇨🇳 Davidoff Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2022 — Smoked in Qingdao, China

A very distinctive release from Davidoff’s Winston Churchill collection. The 2022 Limited Edition was produced in a Double Perfecto (5 7/8 × 61) format — the first shape of its kind in the Winston Churchill line.

The blend brings together an Ecuadorian wrapper, Mexican San Andrés Negro binder, and Dominican & Nicaraguan filler to***cos. Medium-to-full bodied, moving through pepper and cedar into leather, walnut, cacao and darker coffee notes toward the finish.

Only 12,300 boxes of 10 ci**rs were released worldwide, with the presentation inspired by Winston Churchill’s statesman years.

One of the more interesting Davidoff releases of 2026. Small Batch #11 comes in a Toro 6½ × 50, with only 1,760 bundles produced. My bundle is #1,329 of 1,760.

Medium to medium-full profile with transitions through toasted bread, sweet hay and pepper, developing into chocolate, roasted nuts, espresso, oak and spice.

A very limited 2026 Davidoff release — and this one was made to be smoked, not just stored.

AVO Limited Edition 2008 Tesoro — released March 24, 2008, to celebrate Avo Uvezian’s 82nd birthday. “Tesoro” means Treasure, and this was the 8th release in AVO’s annual birthday Limited Edition series.

Now with 18 years of age, the profile is exceptionally smooth and refined. Sweet cream and toasted cashew lead the first third, transitioning into dry cedar and mild earthy/musty notes, with subtle baking spice toward the finish.

A beautiful example of how well the classic AVO Limited Editions can develop with serious age.

The Griffin’s Special Edition Club Series III (2015)

Released in March 2015, the Club Series III marked the final chapter of The Griffin’s celebrated three-year Club Series trilogy (2013–2015). Produced under the Oettinger Davidoff umbrella at the legendary Tabadom Factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic, this release was a worldwide limited edition distributed to select Davidoff and premium cigar retailers.

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Rojiza

Binder: Dominican Republic

Filler: A complex blend of Dominican and Honduran to***cos

Unlike the regular Griffin’s lineup, which is known for its mild Connecticut profile, the Club Series III was blended to deliver a noticeably richer and fuller-bodied smoking experience while maintaining Davidoff’s exceptional construction, effortless draw, razor-sharp burn, and dense white ash.

Production was strictly limited to 25,000 ci**rs worldwide, packaged in 2,500 wooden cabinet-style boxes of 10 ci**rs. The original MSRP was $100 per box ($10 per cigar) at launch, making it one of the best values among Davidoff’s limited editions at the time.

Today, sealed boxes have become increasingly difficult to find, making this release a sought-after piece for both Davidoff and The Griffin’s collectors.
