Peru, Day 1

Our sourcing journey in Peru with Project Origin started in Lima, where we cupped coffees from fundosancrispin before heading to the farm where we met the family behind the coffees.

To get a closer look at where these coffees begin, our first stop is: Fundo San Crispin, where we were welcomed by the beautiful landscape, the colourful farms and the amazing people that put in the work behind every lot we bring home.

San Crispin is the largest of four family-owned farms, located in the highlands of the Amazon in Central Peru. What really stands out for us is that unlike most small farms that make up the majority of Peru’s coffee production, they operate their own dry mill and handle their own exports, allowing them full control over operation and quality.

We cupped Geisha, Bourbon and Typica, and later met two of the brothers behind the farm whom will also be joining us in Romania at Slow Coffee Festival later this month.

A first look at the people, place and coffees behind San Crispin.

More from Peru soon.

Meet the Origin | Honduras

Between mountains, forests and some of Central America’s most diverse coffee-growing regions, Honduras produces coffees with an incredible range of character.

What makes Honduras so special is its diversity. Sweet and structured coffees, bright acidity, tropical fruit, florals and chocolate can all come from the same country.

It’s an origin that continues to surprise us, with expressive profiles we look forward to tasting each time.

All of our Honduran coffees are sourced through Project Origin

We are excited to showcase our latest arrivals, meet friends from different countries and continue the conversations that shape better sourcing.

On the Road | Romania

Last week our team took a road trip across Romania on the occasion of The Coffee Village Festival . Three cities, three cuppings and a lot of coffee.

Starting in Bucharest, we headed towards Cluj but not without stopping in Brasov, where Spired Roastery | Prajitorie Cafea welcomed us for a wonderful afternoon of conversations and, of course, cuppings. From there, we continued to Sibiu, where Hug The Mug opened the doors of their beautiful space for another great session right before we wrapped up the journey in Cluj at Artigiamo | Cafenea Cluj , who made sure we all had a fantastic evening.

Sharing our 2026 crop selection from Project Origin , alongside other highlights from this year’s lots, was a real pleasure. Seeing so much curiosity for the coffees we source and the work we’re passionate about is always incredibly rewarding.

Thank you to everyone who hosted us, joined a cupping and took the time to taste, ask questions and exchange ideas.

See you on the next stop.

Meet the Origin | Peru

Between the colorful mountains and the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, Peru hides something else. Very good coffee.

One of the world’s largest producers of specialty Arabica, yet its greatest strength isn’t scale, it’s the thousands of smallholder families growing exceptional coffee across the Andes.

From remarkable altitude and biodiversity to expressive cup profiles, Peru continues to surprise us year after year.
