Giorgio Mandolesi tests the Atelier Goncharov Model X bassoon

During the International Masterclass 2026 in Smarano, our professional Model X bassoon was tested by Giorgio Mandolesi, Principal Bassoonist of the Orchestre de Paris and Professor at the Zurich University of the Arts and the Paris Conservatoire.

It was a very productive and inspiring experience for us. We are grateful to Giorgio for his time, attention and valuable feedback on our instrument.

Our bassoons have returned to Italy 🇮🇹

International Masterclass in Smarano (province of Trento) were held on August 24th-30th.We brought our instruments to introduce them to professional musicians and get their feedback.

We had the opportunity to meet with and present our bassoons to Giorgio Mandolesi, Massimo Ferretti Incerati, Maurizio Barigione and Alessio Pisani.

We are greatfull to organizers of these masterclass and to all the musicians for their time, attention and honest feedback. It is incredibly valuable for us to connect with professionals, hear their opinions, and have the opportunity to keep improving.

Before an important performance, it’s especially crucial for the instrument to be in perfect working order.

Ada Ceylan, a student at the Nice Conservatory studying under teacher Sibel Pensel, came to Russia to take part in the Yuri Bashmet International Youth Orchestra Competition.

Before her performance, Ada ran into a problem with her flute’s mechanism and turned to our workshop for urgent repair. We were happy to help!)

Ada also tried out Atelier Goncharov’s professional all-silver flute and shared her impressions.

Alexander Degasyuk, a student at the Gnesin Moscow Special Music School in the class of Alexander Posikera, visited our Moscow workshop to try out the Atelier Goncharov student bassoon model.

The first thing you want to check with a new instrument is how it responds in performer’s hands:

• how comfortable the mechanism is to work with

• how the sound and intonation behave

• how actively instrument responds to performance demands

Rodion Tolmachev, soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, has visited our factory in Nizhny Novgorod.

During factory tour Mr Tolmachev got acquainted with our production and tested our bassoons – from student instruments to professional level models.

Brazilian oboist and conductor Alex Klein has completed his journey through Russia.

During his trip, Alex visited our factory in Nizhny Novgorod and the Atelier Goncharov showroom in Moscow, where he got acquainted with our production and instruments.

It is a great honor for us to welcome musicians of such caliber and introduce them personally to Russian instrument making.

We are delighted to share that our master expert and performer Maria Sosnina, together with her AG flute, is currently performing at the 2nd Flute Arts Festival and the 5th Royal Academy of Music Masters Festival, taking place in Dalian, China, from June 5 to June 7.

As part of the festival program, Maria is performing both as a soloist and as a member of an ensemble alongside musicians from different countries, showcasing the sound of our professional Atelier Goncharov flute, crafted entirely from silver.

For us, participation in such an international event is an opportunity to engage in a meaningful cultural dialogue that brings together musicians, educators, and performers from around the world.

We are cheering for Maria, wishing her every success, and looking forward to meeting the festival participants in Dalian!

From June 5 to 7, 2026, we will take part in an international exhibition held as part of a series of masterclasses for trombonists at the Euritmia Music School in Povoletto, Italy.

This is a great opportunity for us to once again present our trombones to musicians from around the world and receive valuable professional feedback.

We look forward to meeting the participants of the masterclasses at the Atelier Goncharov presentation and introducing you to our trombones in person!
