ach you how to print. Our birthday festival - Den Längsta Natten (The Longest Night) - takes place around the 21 st of december every year since 2021. We give away day time to society, but night time is the right time for creating, loving, talking, working. Therefore the longest night is our epicenter, the day we gravitate against, the end and beginning of our year.

Here comes the autumn edition of the Screen Print Basics workshop at Longest Night 🔥

Weekend workshop in screen printing on paper at the Longest Night studio in Kortedala mentored by Mileta Mijatovic and Anna Ehrlemark. Learn the fundamentals of hand crafted multilayered screen printing, from creating print originals to exposing screens and pulling the ink onto paper. In two days we will produce a collective hand-printed book with your own artworks. Each participant will go home with a couple of books in their pocket.

Book release, one-day-exhibition, summer!
NOVA JUGOSLAVIJA by Marko Krojač

After a month of printing, cutting, folding, binding we are ready to release this mastodon new book by Berlin-based photographer and Yugoslav monument arhiver Marko Krojač. Screen printed and hand bound in an edition of 100, NOVA JUGOSLAVIJA has been created with a lot of stubborn love during a month long residency in Kortedala. The book contains a candy collection of Marko's photo documentation of Yugoslav revolutionary monuments in different states of decay and glory.

Marko Krojač learned photography on the streets of Berlin in the early 90's as a part of the squatting movement. In the early 2000's Marko's base was in Pančevo/Belgrade and he started criss-crossing the map of ex-Yugoslavia with his camera, creating a close-to-complete arhive of the decaying heritage of the former socialist republic. Since 2013 he is a member of the Berlin screenprint collective Czentrifuga and continue to explore photography through printmaking, hand coloring and book binding.

We celebrate the release of NOVA JUGOSLAVIJA with a one-day exhibition of Marko's screen printed graphics and textiles, drinks and snacks at the usual hide-out. See you then!

Printmakers and print dreamers - we are reorganizing our workshop and have some screen printing equipment to share forward!

It’s one half-automatic Svecia screen printing machine with maximum printing area 50x70cm, one tunnel for drying/curing screen printed garments, and one manual screen print table without vacuum that needs some refurbishing before use.

We would like to sell them all, but we are also happy to support anybody with a fijuk business idea who wants to start printing for any of all the good reasons, so we are willing to accept whatever offer you can make (including exchange for something useful). We can help out with contacts, advice and aluminium screens as well.

Ps. The svecia table is cool but heavy and big, so the shorter it travels the better!

A collection of shadow books and prints from the workshop spirits. Workshop spirits, as you know, have to be on your side. When they dance in the right pace magical elements align, new images appear, and the printer can sleep well after a long day’s work. For the exhibition at Grafik i Väst Gallery we have prepared a ghost library with one-of-a-kind artist books and prints, shown alongside our large collection of screen printed editions and hand made books. The shadow books get printed on the side, over a long period of time, capturing shards from here and there as the papers fly through the press, and thus recording an alternative world of layers, one that cannot be forward planned, just assembled with curiosity and awe. Taken out of its intended order, each printed layer carries its own rhythm and sound into a new constellation, recognizable but charged with mishap, mischief and mist. Together they show the collective memory of the workshop, Longest Night.
