Motion detection in video surveillance: it's essential!✅
In modern CCTV cameras, the presence of motion detection is crucial. Thanks to it, if something moves within the camera's field of view, the surveillance system can activate one or even several useful functions. All of them positively impact overall security and functionality.
🔸 Savings
It's no secret that when people purchase a surveillance system, they primarily focus on the camera's resolution. Logically, the higher the resolution, the better the image quality. However, when the camera records continuously, high-quality images take up a significant amount of space on the video recorder's hard drive or in the Cloud storage (for example, in Partizan Cloud https://partizancloud.com/). Motion detection solves this problem. Let the camera record in the highest resolution only when it detects motion.
🔸 Push Notifications
Upon detecting motion in the camera's field of view with a motion detector, the user can receive push notifications directly on their smartphone or via email. It's an excellent way to instantly know if something is amiss on the secured property.
🔸 Active Deterrence
But it makes little sense to receive an alarm notification and simply watch as a thief enters onto your property. A camera with motion detection can activate the active deterrence features (FADA) when motion is detected. This can include a sound siren and/or blue-red alarm lights that will immediately deter any unwelcome guests. Modern flagship cameras are increasingly equipped with such features, for example, the 4.0MP IP camera IPD-4SP-IR FADA SH Black https://partizanstore.eu/products/ipd-4sp-ir-fada-sh-black/.
In summary, motion detection is a fundamental "skill" on which other essential options for modern video surveillance are based. In other words, it's a must-have.
