Trying to make a shoe 😅 It's a bit different from knife making but have some similarities to sheath making of course. The last is 3D printed and should match my foot but I suspect it will be a tight fit 😬

I got inspired by and am making a Nessmuk style knife. It has an interesting shape. It will be a slicer for cooking/camping duties so I gave it a hollow grind and 80crv2 steel. It's annealing in the oven now.

Have a nice weekend all. PS a stainless steel cutlery rack from ikea works great for a small camp fire.

Testing out my new leather knife. 52100 steel with oak handle. Works great. Only downside is that it is so sharp it gets stuck in the cutting mat below 😅

A great thing about knife making is that you get to learn many different crafts such as working with metal or wood but also leather. Here is a leather wallet I made. The first leather product I make that is not a sheath but the principles are almost the same

Leather sheath in progress. Only two colours left but I leave that for tomorrow. Very meticulous work 😅
