A week bookended by London Hospitals. You learn a lot whilst waiting, whilst chatting.

In 1970 my Father had a triple bypass when in its first year, most patients died within days. When he was leaving Hospital, a Nurse brought him a wheelchair but he said “Please take that away - I walked in here and I will walk out of here”. He survived a further 49 years & along the way was likely the oldest adult surviving open heart patient. Thank you Brompton.

A virtual battle scene at 1.00am Saturday night at Chelsea & Westminster. St-Mary’s still dealing with the aftermath of the Notting Hill Carnival. Stab wounds at both, though some people on social media who do not live here, do not know you, will try & tell you what you have seen, or heard on the coal face, didn’t happen. 🤷‍♂️

Bit of a Pub Crawl today. The Pig’s Ear on Old Church Street. Half a lobster 🦞 🍟, chips, salad, Cider 🍺, glass of wine…a few pennies over £30.

Chelsea Arts Club closed ‘til tomorrow.

And Fifty Cheyne, even closer to the river, closed for lunch but getting ready for dinner. Looks smart, need to give it another try soon.

The Anglesea Arms, no gaggle of Hooray Henry’s, just a few tourists.

August was a tough month. Lost three friends in August. Popped into The Boltons to give time to reflect.

No greater honour the living can bestow on the dead is to simply remember them in our daily lives.
