From an iconic idea to an object crafted by hand in Delft.

Every Egg Vase XL is handmade in the Royal Delft atelier, bringing together Marcel Wanders’ design and the craftsmanship of Royal Delft.

From casting the clay in the mould and carefully sponging the form to glazing the finished piece, every step is carried out in Delft.

An icon, amplified.

Soft, undulating curves give Egg Vase XL its unmistakable sculptural presence. Enlarged to extraordinary proportions, the familiar silhouette of Marcel Wanders’ Egg Vase becomes even more expressive.

Playful, bold and instantly recognisable, the beauty of the original takes on an entirely new scale.

Introducing Egg Vase XL.

Sometimes, iconic designs begin with the most unexpected ideas. Inspired by a simple stack of eggs, Marcel Wanders created the soft, undulating form that became the Egg Vase.

For Moooi’s twenty-five-year anniversary, the design takes on a new dimension. Created together with Royal Delft, Egg Vase XL amplifies the playful, sculptural character of the original on an extraordinary new scale.

Explore how Marcel Wanders creates designs that feel both of today and as though they have always been here. Not timeless, but timeful.

Then the sculpted curves. The deep quilting. The surprising softness.
