Artfello Amsterdam presents a curated summer exhibition bringing together contemporary art, collectible design, contemporary craft, and material-based practices by Dutch and international artists and makers.

Set within a historic Amsterdam canal-house, the exhibition explores the dialogue between artistic expression, design thinking, and spatial presentation through painting, sculpture, textiles, and collectible objects.

We are delighted to present Veerle Raskin as part of the Artfello exhibition.

Working in ceramics, Raskin creates sculptural forms that explore rhythm, balance, and the quiet poetry of organic growth. Inspired by structures found in nature—particularly fungi—she transforms observation into elegant abstractions that emphasize movement, repetition, and subtle variation. Her work is characterized by flowing lines, tactile surfaces, and a refined dialogue between concave and convex forms.

Through the use of terra sigillata, oxides, and carefully developed textures, Raskin creates pieces that invite slow and attentive viewing. Each work becomes part of a larger conversation, where form, material, and space interact to reveal delicate shifts in perspective and meaning.

Following her graduation from the Academy in Leuven, Belgium, and exhibitions in both Belgium and the Netherlands, Veerle continues to develop a distinctive artistic language rooted in material sensitivity and sculptural exploration.

We are pleased to present Peterjan Prinsen as part of the Artfello exhibition.

Originally trained as a photographer, Peterjan Prinsen discovered painting as a powerful new language for expressing his inner world. After graduating with honors from the Academy of Arts in Arendonk, Belgium, he developed a distinctive artistic practice rooted in emotion, observation, and imagination. His work draws inspiration from both the beauty and complexity of life, embracing moments of joy, reflection, pain, and resilience.

Working primarily in oil on canvas and linen, Prinsen is fascinated by contrasts—light and shadow, colour and monochrome, rhythm and composition. These elements come together in paintings that are both visually striking and emotionally engaging, inviting viewers to connect with their own experiences and interpretations.
