Children grow up faster than we expect.

One day they’re asking you to sit beside them while they make something with their hands… and before you know it, those moments become memories.

That’s why I believe in creating spaces where parents and children can simply slow down and be present together.

During my Parent & Child Pottery Workshop, there’s no pressure to make something perfect.

Just clay, messy hands, laughter, and the quiet joy of creating side by side.

And at the end of it, you bring home a piece that reminds you of that moment.

Inspired by my husband’s recent 1 Run A Day challenge, I’m doing a 1 Cup A Day challenge for the whole of March.

Some criteria I’ve set for myself:
- 1 cup every day
- Same weight
- Must be different form

What I hope to get out of this challenge is to push myself to explore different forms I may not have done before. Perhaps also to get out of my makers’ block.

To be consistent with the weight of clay I’m using. Which means the cups should relatively be about the same size.

And on the topic of consistency, to keep to this for a month as a way for showing up. A short routine on a the wheel, some time to myself and being accountable here.

As you know.

I don’t usually have pop ups and I haven’t really shared or released any works of late.

It’s been a while since I was able to meet many of you today in person, and to chat with you was such a great feeling. I thoroughly enjoy our conversations, our encounters even if just for a brief moment. From a friendly guy whose golden lab turns five today, to a buncha not so fresh grads on a walking trail together. What great energy that brightened my day.

Not forgetting those who came by to snag a piece or two from my table. Thank you. I’m so humbled by your support really 🥹

Another day tomorrow! Some pieces that I’ve kept for day two. I’m not sure who I’ll get to meet but I’m already looking forward.
