Makkah and Madinah, the two holiest cities in Islam, are places where Muslims seek to deepen their connection with the Creator and the beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

I fondly recall my first Umrah pilgrimage in December 2024. It was a DIY trip with seventeen family members: my sons, nieces, and nephews-young, energetic teenagers blessed with the opportunity to visit the sacred land at such a youthful age. My parents and in-laws, the ladies in wheelchairs, were with us, and we were dedicated to assisting them during their tawaf and throughout the Umrah journey.

When my spouse, siblings, best friend, and I first laid eyes on the Kaaba, tears of joy streamed down our faces. Despite the throngs of worshippers, a profound sense of peace enveloped us. These memories remain vivid, and we yearn to return. Inshallah, we aspire to undertake Hajj, hoping to fulfill this cherished dream on our bucket list for those of us who have yet to.
