We've been taught to pray to God—like He's somewhere far above, waiting for us to get the words just right, to be formal enough, spiritual enough, desperate enough to finally get His attention.
But what if that's not it at all?
What if prayer is less like making a phone call to a distant authority and more like sitting down with a friend who's already in the room?
When you pray with God instead of to God, everything shifts:
→ It's no longer about performance—it's about presence
→ It's not about convincing Him—it's about connecting with Him
→ You're not talking at the ceiling—you're talking with Someone who's right beside you
Prayer becomes partnership. Collaboration. Walking together through your day, your decisions, your doubts, your dreams.
You don't have to get it perfect. You don't have to sound religious. You can be messy, honest, even angry.
Because He's not far away waiting to judge your prayer form.
He's right here, waiting to walk with you.
So today, try it: Stop performing your prayers. Start having a conversation. Not upward to a distant throne, but beside you with a present Friend.
That's when prayer stops being a duty and starts being a relationship
