Tuition, spelling, composition, screen time, repeat. 🎒📗📱
Between school and extracurriculars, our kids carry a lot of mental load. By the time the weekend hits, their batteries are running on low, and reaching for the iPad seems like the easiest way to unwind—but it doesn't actually recharge them.
Swap screen time for GREEN time to help your kids decompress this weekend. Just pick one!
1. Bring It Outside - Read a book, have breakfast, or just lay on your backs.
2. Build Pebble Towers - Build a tower using simple pebbles. The tallest, standing tower wins — an easy but mindful stacking challenge.
3. 20-Min Neighbourhood Safari - Go to the nearest park and explore. Look high up in the tress for birds or low in the grass or amongst plants for the crawlies.
4. Go For A Ride - Get them on bicycles and ride around the park or along the PCN. Might be the most sweaty activity in this list but helps triggers the much needed endorphins.
Whichever activity you engage the kids in, these might just help clear the mental clutter, and have them sleep better before Monday rolls around. They’ll come back to their desks sharper, happier, and less stressed.
