Whenever life gets tough, I always pause to recite this.
It’s a great verse to read everyday. Before work, before a big meeting, or when your toddler refuse to eat the meal you cook. 😉

Watching the kids snooze while I have a quiet afternoon snack is the best time of the day. I often wonder how did I ever get so lucky to be blessed with two little angels that make my life so rich and then it hit me - that I’m not just lucky, I’m blessed. Blessed beyond and never forgotten. 🐑
Thank you, dear Lord, for all that I have. 🤎🤎🤎🤎

Attending mass is not an easy feat for me. From getting the kids to nap (so they won’t melt down in church) to hustling them out of the house in order to be in time for mass is a tedious and stressful job each week.

And my stress doesn’t just end there! 😅 My toddlers are chatty and would talk to me when I’m trying to concentrate during homily (it’s impossible 🫠) BUT this was all I got from yesterday’s homily. I love this verse and every time I come across it I feel a deep connection with God. But I also didn’t have the capacity to hear anything else with a 3yo that goes, ‘mommy I want to go home now.’ 🥲 I hope the priest didn’t hear her. 🙃

Hope y’all had a restful weekend and a great start to the week. Hopefully the PH on Wed motivates you to get thru your impossible tasks this week. Xoxo, Sara

New piece this week! ✨
I think from the number of pieces that I’ve made with Mother Mary medals, you can tell how much I adore her. I’m sure everyone can relate 🥹

This message speaks to me deeply. 💗
Once upon a time 🤭 I was looking for everyday jewelry that I can wear to remind me of God’s love, I started making pieces that I would wear that are subtle and fit my style. I’m so grateful to each and every one of you who like my creations and for your support. I hope that I would be able to create more pieces in the coming months 🤗 Keeping my chin up to tackle the weekend with the kids for now! 💪🏻🍪🧺🧹👩🏻‍🍳🚙🛁🙈

I came across this saying and thought it’ll be a good teaching for the children.

“Good Friday and Easter Sunday are two sides of the same coin; one shows sacrifice, the other, triumphant love.”

In case you were wondering, I did not pick the minister that draws the faintest cross yesterday. I did however wear the cross proudly (or at least until my 2yo starts pointing to my forehead and asking ‘what’s that on your forehead mommy’ x 1,345 times that I wish I wasn’t wearing the cross on my forehead so that she would stop talking during mass 🫠)

I wanna share what Fr Sam John shared yesterday. He asked one of the parishioners why did he bow before receiving the sign of cross. The parishioner answered that he bowed because the person in front of him bowed as well. Fr Sam went on to explain that we have to bow before receiving the Holy Communion but we don’t have to before receiving the sign of cross because it’s not the body of Christ. (Something that I didn’t know and I did the same 😅- because the person in front of me bowed too.)

Anyhoo, what Fr Sam wants to remind us is that during Lent, we shouldn’t be looking at what others are doing or abstaining from. Instead, we should be focusing on ourselves, what we choose to do and what we choose to give up during the Lenten period. He ended his sermon with acronym:

Let’s
Eliminate
Negative
Thinking

Here’s me wishing you a blessed Ash Wednesday and may you have a fruitful Lent. 🩶
