Korean Mayak Avocado
We really love avocado over here at The Wildflower Edit and get incredibly excited when they are in season. We love spreading it toast, adding it to salads and of course guacamole, but of late, it’s safe to say this recipe is firmly our favourite. It’s the perfect, healthy yet delicious side dish and no cooking is required. Trust us when we say you’ll want to save this post and share with fellow avocado lovers.
Ingredients:
4 cloves of garlic
2 chillis (optional, I leave out sometimes for the sake of the kids)
3-4 spring onion (slice)
1 lemon (juice only)
2 tbsp honey (try our ZeezBeez Wildflower)
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup water
2 tbsp sesame seeds
4 firm avocados (cut into chunks)
2 – 3 small cucumbers (diced)
Method:
1. Add soy sauce, water and lemon juice into a bowl or container. Stir in honey until fully dissolved.
2. Finely chop the garlic and chillis and add to the liquid ingredients in the bowl or container.
3. Cut avocado into chunks, dice cucumbers and thinly slice the spring onions and then add to the liquid ingredients in the bowl or container. Mix altogether.
4. Top with sesame seeds.
5. Serve with rice or toast.
Keeps in fridge for 3-5 days. Enjoy!
