Passionate guitarmaker who always strive to build exceptional guitars. What we are building at Hozen Guitars is very limited in quantity.

As I personally hand-voiced every single guitar, there is a physical limit to the number of guitars I can make in my life as a luthier. Individual voicing is critical as each soundboard differs in stiffness and qualities only thru an experienced and qualified hand, the potential will be realized. With keyboards replacing hand tools for the younger generation, it’s challenging to inspire the next generation of craftsmen to pursue this art form of guitar building. Machines seem to be replacing human and guitars done by machines via mass production are affordable and consistent but lacks the character of a human touch. Hozen Guitars provides guitar players with the unique opportunity to own an individually hand-voiced guitar with incredible workmanship and ergonomics features at a reasonable pricing made possible thru Team Building. This advantage will not last forever as Boutique guitars are fast becoming a vanishing art form and with scarcity, prices will only go up….

Blue Label #343 | Swiss Moon Spruce × EIR | Deep OM

I am honoured to once again have Hozen Guitars selected for the Boutique Guitar Showcase enTour 2026, a curated showcase bringing together independent makers from around the world.

For the Western USA enTour, I selected two very different Blue Labels.

First is #343, a Deep OM in Swiss Moon Spruce and East Indian Rosewood, featuring a Manzer-style wedge, armrest, back bevel and cutaway, deliberately without a soundport. At its centre is my Circle of Flame rosette.

Like every Hozen, I personally voiced its soundboard by hand, bringing the ergonomics, structure and voice together as one instrument.

My part is done. Now I want players to put their hands on it.

A little bit of Hozen at the Woodstock Fingerstyle Guitar Festival!

My good friend Al Cath is there with a Blue Label and Gold Label, together with the amazing guitarist 김화종.

Always special for me to see these guitars out of the workshop, in the hands of players, being played and shared the way they were meant to be.

Great evening yesterday celebrating Charlie Lim 林宇 and the launch of his new album, DAYDREAM.

Always a special feeling for me to see a guitar I built being played where it belongs — on stage, making music.

Charlie was playing his custom Red Label Signature Model, equipped with the LR Baggs HiFi Duet. This guitar was built around Charlie and the way he plays, and hearing it become part of his sound on such an important night was especially meaningful.

Congratulations Charlie on DAYDREAM. Very happy that a little piece of Hozen gets to be part of the journey.

A very special Blue Label, completed for Reiko.

A fan-fret baritone with a Koa top and Longan back & sides. Reiko is an Art Director, so for this build, he provided the colour palette and art direction, while I translated his vision into the guitar.

I really enjoyed this collaboration — his eye for colour and design, combined with my interpretation as a guitar maker.

The result is something unmistakably personal, and truly one of a kind.
