We've been trying to develop a new, simpler marathon foot pump for kayaks. We aim to keep the cost below $50 and we're still sorting out some kinks (literally - no pun intended) before we decide if we can mass market it.

Instead of copying existing designs, we attempted to design this from scratch and with the least number of parts to make it easier to maintain.

We also want all the parts to be easily accessible (instead of having everything behind the footboard) so that there isn't a need to unmount your footrest every time the valve gets clogged.

We're testing it now - initial testing has been very encouraging - before we think about a go to market approach.

Due to a sudden surge in interest, I am developing wave deflectors specifically for marathon K1s and K1s.

Unlike typical surfski wave deflectors, these will be sized to fit marathon boats, and will have a lower profile so.our paddles don't collide with it.

As K1 and K2 decks come in a variety of sizes, do let me know if you have a width to recommend I make them in!
