Hi everyone, I’m participating in my very first FB livestream in conjunction with Ban Soon Sewing .SG and this evening at 5 pm where I’m being featured as a guest crafter on their show. It’s really quite intimidating for an introvert like me and also a first for me to embrace technology on social commerce so wish me luck. Do join in to lend your support. There will be freebies and also special offers during the show. The content will appeal to those interested in sewing and crafting as well as those who prefer handmade crafts and clothing.

Drawing inspiration from the Morrocan buildings and culture, be swept away to the exotic lands of Marrakech this summer. This collection of 3 dresses with its geometric domed window print, deep pleats and scalloped detailing comes in 3 delicious colours, namely Saffron (pink), Andalucia (blue) and Slate (grey). Did you know that Santorini was formed by a volcanic eruption centuries ago? There are more churches than houses on this island. Wine is also more abundant than water on Santorini because of there is so little rain. The caldera of Santorini is the only inhibited in the world whereby cave houses and architectures are carved from volcanic soil.

It’s been a while since I stitched anything with bling and is geometric in shape. As this is Easter weekend, here’s a special commissioned piece which I have affectionately named “Angela” because of the number of angles. The intersecting rectangles represent the roles that women play in the family : namely a daughter, a mum and a wife. Hand-embroidered with an assortment of beads in pretty pastels to bring a spring in your step. I thought the baby teal and lilac tones it does channel some 2022 spring/summer Chanel vibes 🤣 . A lovely Mother’s Day gift 🎁 idea.

I was reminded by FB of a paper crafting project which I had designed for my daughter’s school carnival 6 year’s ago. A life-sized 3D paper Peranakan house with ornate stain-glass windows, paper carving and mock wooden inlay furniture. This was such an interesting project to conceptualise and create. Whilst it’s been a while since I have dappled in paper crafts, I guess my daily sewing endeavours continues to feed my urge to craft and create 😃.
