Fabric books with some Asian flavour!

Most of the time baby books are a little "Western oriented" or "Chinese oriented" but this set is more balanced and has some surprising Asian spin on it!

For instance, under the book about food, you can find pages on 饺子 🥟，粽子 and 拉面 🍜!

We have got...the tiger, the cow...and what other animals do you see!

It's a nice touch and feel book for sensory play and a great companion for a trip to the zoo too!

We are big believers of general knowledge. It gives you a broader world view and allows you to see more, beyond what's in your immediate vicinity.

In this book, your little one can learn about how children around the world live. We like that the book is written from the angle of children in other countries. It makes it more fun because it's like finding out about another one like them, but somewhere else.

The book is also written in first person perspective, which adds a nice "personal" touch. The book is pretty comprehensive - it covers skyscrapers, farmhouses, stilt houses to Mongolian yurts, Japanese minkas, Artic and more.

Recommended for ages 5 and above.

是Singapo人就来看看这个展览!

How much do you or your little one know about the Chinese culture and language in Singapore?

Did you know that the Simplified Chinese we use today is not all simplified? Or how 星洲米粉 is not invented in Singapore?

Singapo人 is a permanent exhibition at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre - it's free and you can book guided tours during the weekends!

We got some really nice surprises when we visited - not gonna spoil them for you so go check it out with your little ones!

Hint: Remember to checkout the rooftop when you finish the exhibition!

It's a mystery pack!

We have had requests to customise mystery packs as one time packs over the last few months and now we have decided to make it OFFICIAL!

To get one:

1. Tell us what your kid/recipient likes or what you like!

Tell us something like "My child enjoys audio books and books about food and vehicles!"

Or "I would like something fun to read for my child/niece/nephew/friend's toddler!"

2. Tell us if you have any strict box restrictions!

E.g. "We already have this series at home, otherwise all is good!"

3. It's perfectly fine if you want a complete surprise as well! Just let us know.

4. It comes with 3 books and is priced just the same as our one time packs! 😊

Nursery songs! An integral part of growing up and learning a language as a kid 🎶

We have combed through Spotify to bring you our top 6 artists/albums to listen to for your dose of Mandarin nursery songs!

1. MIKA STUDIO (artist) has got you covered for classic nursery songs and versatile is the word!

Want something standard? Go for the 樂唱同學會世界經典童謠 album. Something more rock? Then go for 摇滚經典兒歌.

There are so many styles you can choose from - something more soothing to something more groovy, you can have it all.

2. Kids Learn Mandarin (artist) has really nice songs! Not the most typical of songs but very educational ones! One that caught our eye (or ear for that matter) is the song "My Family". It's a song about how you call different family members and how they are related to each other!

3. 儿歌新唱计划: 我们的儿歌唱故事 (album) is a local initiative with Singapore's top singers and musical theatre talents covering classic children songs (think Joanna D**g and more)! There is a second album 儿歌新唱计划(2): 我们的儿歌唱故事 that you can play for your little one as well!

4. Mavis Fan 范晓宣 (artist) - we assume most of us know who this is! If not, listen to 我爱洗澡 and you might get enlightened! She's got 2 albums that feature cute little songs that your little ones will love! Look for the albums 小魔女的魔法书 and 魔登家庭: 小魔女の魔法书2.

5. 星儿歌乐队 (artist) produced an album 中国星儿歌第一辑 which is pretty good!

6. Chinese Buddy (artist) - if you're into jazzy tunes, this could be the artist you're looking for! A cross between Chinese nursery songs and a little bit of jazz!
