EBmodels Welcome to EBmodels, a small “scale” company producing models of mainly gliders and ships. I'm Erik, I work as an engineer onboard seagoing vessels.

As a hobby I'm flying gliders and model airplanes, and like to collect static models of them. The models i was interested in do not exist yet. A few years ago i started with 3d printing for my hobby parts and learned to design my own models in 3D,

Now i have combined all of my hobby interest into EBmodels, bringing you models that i produce in limited quantity’s. due to my work i have met my wife

in Singapore, and i'm living there now with my Wife and 2 kids. Because i’m still actively sailing for a few months a year my models will not be available year round. I will only operate my shop when i’m home, in order to ensure fast shipping and delivery of your models.

First model of the 40m fast crew tender is out of the printer. Got a few hours to finish off the 3d model after the kids went to sleep. Now on with getting it to print right. The first model already looks good and the small details can be seen. That is going to be one hell of a paint job this small!

For a few weeks already in Dunkirk for drydocking, the 3rd special survey of the Fairplayer. During the past and coming few weeks the vessel will go through an extensive checkup by the class bureau. At the same time all the maintenance that cannot be done at sea or during a normal portcall will take place. Busy times

My own ship is delayed by a day. That means one day in Bristol. a nice opportunity to visit the SS Great Britain the first ship to combine an iron hull with a "modern" propellor, with her maiden voyage in 1845 setting the course for ships as we know them nowdays.

Just got confirmation that I will be joining ship early next week, this time 3 months onboard the Fairplayer from jumbo shipping.

Bad news is that I won't be able to ship out any models,

Good thing is. Hopefully will find some time to work on some new models.

I will put my Etsy shop on "holiday" mode on Saturday evening, although it's not really a Holiday ofcourse...

so it could be a good time to get that model that you want now 🙂

I will still read my WhatsApp and messeger. Albeit reply could be slow due to the satellite internet connection.
