Having flat fingers or tense wrists is one of the most common habits we see in beginners. Without the right foundation, it becomes difficult to play faster pieces or achieve a beautiful, even tone.

Here are 3 quick checks for your next practice session:
1️⃣ The Tennis Ball Curve: Imagine holding a small ball. Your knuckles should be gently lifted, never collapsing inward!
2️⃣ Use Your Fingertips: You want to strike the keys with the firm tips of your fingers, not the flat, fleshy pads.
3️⃣ Check Your Wrists: Are they locked up tight? Take a deep breath and let your wrists drop and relax. Tension is the enemy of speed!
