๐Ÿ”ง Nothing fancy. Just good old suspension maintenance. ๐ŸฆŠ

This FOX fork came in for a basic service and a full hardware inspection. It had a slight stuck-down issue on the air damper shaft, so we stripped it down, refreshed the oil, replaced the seals and rubbers, and checked all moving parts to make sure everything was within tolerance.

Back on the trails and ready for another season. ๐Ÿšตโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ

๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ But hereโ€™s something important about suspension servicing in Singapore:

We donโ€™t have an off-season or winter. Weโ€™re riding year-round, often with much more riding than riders in seasonal countries.

Add our dry, wet and muddy conditions, and the typical โ€œonce-a-yearโ€ service interval may not be enough.

Our general recommendation:
๐Ÿ”ง Basic service / inspection: every 3โ€“6 months
๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Major overhaul: every 6โ€“12 months

Of course, it all depends on how much and how hard you ride.

With the World Pump Track Series Qualifier in Miri, East Malaysia just around the corner, Arifโ€™s new frame arrived right before his flight. ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ

So we scrambled to get this custom-built race machine together โ€” including a fresh pair of in-house built Box Components | BMX carbon wheels, built specifically around his riding style and racing needs. ๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿ”ฅ

Some parts were transferred from his previous bike, with a quick build, quick test ride and thenโ€ฆ straight to Miri! โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ

And yes โ€” this is the first one in Singapore! ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

For this build, we went with Phil Wood & Co. 15g stainless steel 15G (1.8mm) straight-gauge spokes โ€” simple, strong and built for racing

These tall-profile carbon rims are about to go onto a very special BMX race build. ๐Ÿ‘€

๐ŸฆŠ FOX FLOAT X โ€” THE MODERN WORKHORSE

One of FOXโ€™s most common piggyback rear shocks, found on plenty of complete bikes and built for serious trail riding. The current FLOAT X uses a piggyback reservoir, EVOL air spring and adjustable compression/rebound damping. ๏ฟผ

! Duo man Team today and they came in 3rd and 4th respectively for todayโ€™s Singapore Cycling Federation Track series final round in Group A.

Crazy week as we have guys in our team in the local trails , China for Asia Mountainbike series, and Ariff Jufri in MIri for the Pump Track World Championships qualifier !

Great weekend for us and to everyone else too!

Team work is dream work! A race that see not one but two MVPs in a 4 man team at the track series round 2 ๐Ÿ”ฅ

A long anticipated teamwork, racecraft and achievement for team AB on the road race side of things, showcased by our aces and we had so much fun! Rubbing shoulders are also the Highroad SL VS EnergiA!

As preparations intensify towards this weekendโ€™s National MTB XCO & XCE Championships, things have been absolutely packed at the store! ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ๐Ÿšฒ๐Ÿ’จ

Weโ€™re in the final stages of preparing the bikes for the race our riders have been anticipating for the past year โ€” one of the biggest and most important races on our calendar. ๐Ÿ†

This weekend, heads into the Men Elite category with his brand-new Polygon Syncline DR, moving from the hardtail he has raced for the past two seasons to this full-suspension XC weapon. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ”ฅ

Kindly supported by , we didnโ€™t just take the bike straight out of the box. Even though itโ€™s brand new, we carried out a full strip-down and inspection to check every tolerance and moving part.

The suspension has been lowered on the front and dialled in to be plush and supple in the open mode, while still providing the support needed to attack the course โ€” with a quick snap of the lockout turning this XC weapon into a near-rigid race machine. โšก๏ธ
