A customer wanted me to renew a bracelet that he had had customised for his wife about a year ago. She loved it very much, he said, and wore it often, so the bracelet was a little worn. Could I please see if I could do anything to refresh it? He sent me a photo of it. "Sure", I said. "Send it over and I'll see what can be done."
A few days later, it arrived, and sure enough, it looked like it had seen a lot of wear. The brass beads had oxidised, and some of the bling had come loose. I restrung the bracelet, cleaning and buffing as I went. Replaced all the brass beads as I had similar ones, and replaced the crystal-encrusted beads with wholesome new ones with all the shinies intact.
After a few hours' work, the bracelet was good as new, and ready to go home to its owner. It was satisfying to give this beautiful piece an extended lease of life. :)
Refreshed and ready to return to its owner
