The legend of Phaya Hua Luang, or Thao Wessuwan of Lanna, is one of the manifestations of Thao Wessuwan, the king of ghosts and lord of giants. In his form, Phaya Hua Luang is a giant who devours unruly and rogue spirits. He also controls these spirits and can communicate with them. He is associated with shady businesses, underground operations, and those that rely on connections and influence. Phaya Hua Luang uses his subordinates to manage these businesses, thus ensuring success. He is believed to boost the power of worship, opening doors, providing connections, and attracting support and direct connections.

Anyone involved in underground businesses, trading, or brokerage should worship him. That way, if they ever step on someone's toes, he will quickly help them succeed, ensuring their business runs smoothly, without obstacles, and goes well.

KB Sala created Phaya Hua Luang using three types of mystical iron:
1) the iron from the church door latch
2) the iron from the pagoda's spire
3) the iron from the umbrella canopy.
He used firewood from drought-stricken trees to cast it on Phaya Wan (a special auspicious day). He erected a temporary shrine to inform his teachers and performed a ritual to invoke Phaya Hua Luang, the supreme giant, the lord of lords. The ritual was performed with a resounding noise, like someone locking a door, signifying its effectiveness.

The image of Thao Wessuwan, according to the scriptures of Phaya Hua Luang, means that whoever carries it will not have to fear any ghosts or demons wherever they travel. He is the one who subdues ghosts, demons, and various forms of black magic that go astray. His duty is to maintain peace and order and to oversee the behavior of his giants and demonic followers, keeping them in line.

When Phaya Hua Luang supports you and his followers assist you without malice, it directly results in good fortune and wealth.
