Lamitak City Grand Opening – Bringing New Life to Bras Basah Complex!

On 24 September, five of our Bras Basah Complex Merchants’ Association committee members and three representatives from Heritage SG were honoured to attend the grand opening of Lamitak City, celebrating Lamitak’s 25th anniversary!

Since POPULAR Bookstore relocated to Levels 4 and 5, large sections of Levels 2 and 3 had been closed for almost a year while Lamitak carried out extensive renovations. During this period, the quieter floors affected foot traffic and the overall business atmosphere at Bras Basah Complex.

Now, with the opening of Lamitak City, Levels 2 and 3 have come alive again! ✨

It is truly heartening to see more visitors returning and new energy flowing through the complex.

Sunday, 7 PM at Bras Basah Complex — unusually quiet tonight…

Not sure if it’s due to the F1 weekend, the recent haze, or simply because it’s Sunday and many shops have already closed, but Bras Basah Complex feels especially quiet tonight, quite different from usual.

Walking through the empty corridors and central plaza, I couldn’t help but capture these moments.

Thankfully, Jack’s Place is still brightly lit, bringing warmth, life and a welcoming atmosphere to the complex.

Sometimes, I truly feel that while bookstores, art and culture give Bras Basah Complex its unique identity, F&B businesses also play an important role in keeping the entire complex lively and vibrant.

Where there is food, there is light. Where there is light, there is life. And where there is life, there is hope! 🌟

Every shopping complex has its busy and quiet moments. A quiet evening does not mean it has lost its vibrancy.

❤️ My sincere wish is for every merchant at Bras Basah Complex to continue showcasing their unique strengths, attracting more customers and enjoying better business.
