Easmed People

Ong Hong Boon is a Clinical Application Specialist at Easmed, supporting surgical procedures across ENT, neurosurgery and urology. From working closely with surgeons to troubleshooting during cases, he plays an important behind-the-scenes role in helping procedures run smoothly and supporting better patient care.

Beyond his clinical role, Hong Boon also serves as Vice President of Welfare at Easmed in 2026. Through initiatives like FAM — Feast, Align and Mingle — and overseas recreation trips, he helps create moments for colleagues to connect, recharge and feel part of the Easmed community.

Outside of work, Hong Boon brings the same joyful energy into everything he does — whether he is trying Pilates, yoga, spin, gym sessions or exploring his interest as an “uncertified barista”.

Responsible, bubbly and always ready to bring people together, Hong Boon represents the heart behind Easmed’s work: supporting people, sharing knowledge and making a difference in ways that are not always seen, but always felt.

AI in healthcare does not always mean robot doctors or futuristic hospitals.

Sometimes, the biggest impact is much more practical:
Helping patients understand medical information better.
Helping healthcare teams manage admin more efficiently.
Helping urgent cases get noticed sooner.
Helping care feel less confusing.

The real question is not just whether healthcare can use AI.

It is whether AI can make care safer, clearer, and easier for people.

Save this for the next time a symptom sends you searching.

Bad sleep may not just show up as eye bags and brain fog.

A new Nature study found that sleep duration was linked to biological ageing patterns across 17 organ systems.
Researchers saw a U-shaped pattern: both less than 6 hours and more than 8 hours of sleep were associated with faster biological ageing.

This does not prove sleep causes organs to age faster, but it does suggest sleep may be an important signal of overall health.

If you are always sleeping too little, sleeping too much, or waking up tired, it may be worth paying attention.
