Happy Children’s Day!

Every child is a little gem in the making, full of curiosity, imagination, and endless possibilities.

Just like gemstones, no two are exactly alike. Each child has their own unique sparkle and their own story waiting to unfold.

Today, we celebrate the little explorers, big dreamers, curious minds, and bright personalities who remind us that learning should always be an adventure.

Happy Children’s Day from all of us at The Gem Museum!

Keep exploring. Keep asking questions. Keep shining. ✨

Diamonds were being classified 900 years before the GIA existed.

An 11th century temple in Thanjavur lists over 6,000 diamonds by color, crystal form, and provenance. Golconda, the region behind some of history's most famous stones, had its own trading laws, its own merchants, and its own myths long before Antwerp or Singapore entered the story.

Hui Ying and Prof Linda have been collaborating on a couple of student research and also projects.

Glad that that the students can have access to gems to learn how they respond to advanced equipment like FTIR, EDX, RAMAN, etc...

The diamond industry has a quiet problem nobody's fixing with better marketing: the people who know how to run it are retiring, and the pipeline behind them isn't full yet.

Part three of my first World Diamond Congress isn't about gemstones. It's about the people who move them, the ones retiring, the ones just getting started, and a WhatsApp group that turned into an industry-wide movement.

It also got me thinking about something closer to home.
