This was the first ever bouquet I had made, and it was crafted during my first hobby class lesson.
Very "classic" right? And in other words, very old fashion. 😄
The Flower Pixie had since come a long way, and I have now put my own spin on the traditional ways of approaching floristry.
I adopt the Korean style as, in my opinion, their arrangements tend to be more "airy," flowy, and less rigid. They are less formal and more natural. Hence more appealing.
I coined this phrase recently, "consumer floristry." It means floristry that appeals to the mass consumers who just wanted to get flowers as gifts or weddings.
The other will be the "serious" floristry, where proportions and placement are of utmost importance. This is where we do our pieces for, e.g. competitions, etc.
I had since, my first class, dedicated my life to floristry. And I know it will be my forever career and forever work to brighten up someone's day with my craft. ❤️
