SKYEROS -
Limited Vinyl Released.

Skyeros were an obscure four-piece American band from the St. Louis, Missouri area, remembered today for a single privately issued 1975 album that has become a prized name among collectors of underground U.S. rock. Although often mentioned in progressive rock circles, the album is better understood as a melodic, guitar-led private press record with strong rural-rock character, subtle prog touches and a warm Midwestern studio sound.

Rather than pushing into heavy complexity, Skyeros works through atmosphere, songcraft and instrumental colour. The record is built around bright electric guitar lines, tasteful lead breaks, organ textures and compact ensemble playing, giving the music a flowing, slightly dreamy quality. Fans of American rural psych, melodic private press rock and guitar-forward 1970s underground albums should find plenty to enjoy here.

Side A opens with Daily Dreams, setting the tone with an easy but confident melodic drive. Don’t Give Me No Alibis and Searchin’ continue the album’s balance between rootsy rock movement and more reflective passages, while With Or Without You adds further emotional weight before the side closes.

Side B contains the shorter Homecoming followed by the album’s major extended piece, August-Suite In Time. Running well beyond standard song length, the suite is the moment where Skyeros stretch out most clearly, bringing together guitar, keyboards and shifting moods in a way that explains why the album has remained attractive to both prog listeners and wider private-press collectors.

Recorded at Golden Voice Studios in Pekin, Illinois, a studio associated with a number of notable Midwestern rock recordings, the album disappeared quickly after its original release and became increasingly difficult to find. This Void Records edition, catalogue number VOID068, makes the record available again in a limited 350-copy vinyl pressing with lyric insert.

THE FREEBORNE - Peak Impressions
Limited Vinyl Released.

Freeborne were an American psychedelic rock band from Massachusetts whose only album, Peak Impressions (1968), became a cult favorite among collectors of late-60s underground psych. The record combines ornate vocal harmonies, baroque arrangements, acid rock textures and ambitious songwriting, placing it somewhere between sunshine psych and more exploratory progressive sounds. Its long-form title suite and dramatic mood shifts made it one of the hidden gems of the era.

GILGAMESH - Another Fine Tune You're Got Me Into.

- First-ever reissue on vinyl
- 140g black vinyl comes in reverse board printed sleeve that reinforce the original artwork

Another Fine Tune You’ve Got Me Into is a highly regarded album by Gilgamesh, one of the key names associated with the Canterbury jazz-prog sound. Led by keyboardist and composer Alan Gowen, the group brought together a remarkable line-up of British musicians, including guitarist Phil Lee, Soft Machine bassist Hugh Hopper and drummer Trevor Tomkins.

The album offers a refined blend of jazz fusion, progressive rock and Canterbury-style complexity, balancing intricate compositions with warm melodic passages and subtle ensemble interplay. Gowen’s electric piano and synthesizer work sits at the heart of the music, while Lee’s guitar, Hopper’s bass and Tomkins’ precise drumming give the record its distinctive fluidity and depth.

From the elegant opening of Darker Brighter to the expansive Bobberty - Theme From Something Else, the acoustic delicacy of Waiting and the shifting rhythms of Play Time and Underwater Song, this newly remastered reissue presents a classic Canterbury album in fresh detail for longtime fans and new listeners alike.

VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR - STILL LIFE

- NEW REMASTERED VINYL RELEASE OF THE CLASSIC 1976 ALBUM BY VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR.
- REMASTERED FROM THE ORIGINAL MASTER TAPES.
- CUT AT ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS.
WITH FULLY RESTORED ARTWORK.

Released in April 1976, Still Life is widely regarded as one of Van der Graaf Generator’s strongest and most enduring albums. It was the band’s second release after their 1972–1975 hiatus, following their powerful return with Godbluff.

The reunited line-up of Peter Hammill, Hugh Banton, David Jackson and Guy Evans had returned to Rockfield Studios in 1975, producing a highly creative run of material. Two tracks from those sessions, Pilgrims and La Rossa, were held over from the Godbluff period and later became central pieces on Still Life.

With dramatic performances, complex arrangements and Peter Hammill’s intense lyrical vision, the album includes essential Van der Graaf Generator works such as Pilgrims, La Rossa, My Room (Waiting for Wonderland) and Childlike Faith in Childhood’s End. This new vinyl edition has been remastered from the original master tapes, cut at Abbey Road Studios, and fully restores the original LP artwork.

CHARLEE -
Limited Vinyl Released.

A Montreal, Quebec-based hard rock band. They included Walter Rossi, who was previously with Influence and who later released several other solo albums after 1976 and played on Wilson Pickett’s I Want You album in 1979. He is also rumoured to have played on Thee Muffins obscure garage album Pop Up!.

Their album, which got a U.S. release on Mind Dust four years after its initial Canadian exposure, is full of good pulsating hard rock numbers featuring lots of superb guitar work from the hands of Walter Rossi. The instrumental opening cut, Wizard, sets the tone and driving hard rockers like Lord Knows I’ve Won, the imaginative Just You And Me and Wheel Of Fortune. Let’s Keep Silent is notable for lots of fuzz guitar work and A Way To Die is a slower song featuring lots of Rossi’s fine guitar work. All bar one cut were penned by Rossi (four were co-written with Danny Ippersiel). An album well worth checking out.

Excellent British progressive rock characterized by expert Hammond organ playing, intricate and original vocal harmonies and an agile and precise rhythm section. The scarce liner notes and credits have created somewhat of an air of mystery surrounding the 1971 album, but it is almost certain that the musicians listed simply as 'Amos' (bass) and 'Cure' (vocals), are actually Martin Cure of 'Martin Cure and the Peeps' and Graham Amos of the 'Rainbows'. Reliable sources also point to the likely participation of Terry Howells and Alan Savage. The band also collaborated extensively with the Edgard Broughton Band.

GRAND THEFT -
Limited Vinyl Released.

What began as a tongue-in-cheek jab at the bombast of bands like Grand Funk Railroad soon evolved into something far more visceral, authentic, and uniquely their own. Dave Baroh’s snarling guitar work, Kevin Marin’s booming bass lines, and Phil Klitgaard’s raw yet precise drumming struck with the force of a whip cracking through a stormy night.

Their only LP, recorded in a single frenzied session, preserves a burst of pure, unfiltered energy. Songs like “Scream (It’s Eating Me Alive)” and “Closer to Herfy’s” emerged from caffeine-charged nights filled with inside jokes, sharp humor, and a growing embrace of abrasive sound.

Guided by radio DJ and manager Burl Barer, the project generated regional attention, including a “dream date” promotional contest and even praise from critic Lester Bangs. Live shows were scarce but explosive—brief, deafening assaults of sound that left a lasting impression.

Although the band’s lifespan was short, the legend of Grand Theft continued to grow after their breakup. What started as a playful concept transformed into a proto-metal oddity, standing out as an unpredictable force in the landscape of early ’70s rock.

Grand Theft endures as a reminder of rock music’s untamed edge—a raw, defiant outcry against convention and conformity.
