Look, Touch, and Feel – Early Detection Starts With You
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor fighters, survivors, and those we’ve lost — and to remind everyone that early detection saves lives.
This year, let’s remember three simple but powerful words: Look, Touch, and Feel.
👀 LOOK
Take a moment to look at your breasts in the mirror. Notice their shape, size, and skin texture.
Be aware of any changes — dimpling, redness, swelling, rashes, or unusual ni**le discharge.
Your eyes can spot what might otherwise go unnoticed.
✋ TOUCH
Use your hands to gently check your entire breast, underarms, and up to the collarbone.
Feel for any lumps, hard areas, or changes in texture.
Your touch is your first line of awareness — know what’s normal for you.
🤲 FEEL
Go deeper than the surface. Get familiar with how your breasts naturally feel throughout your cycle.
If something feels different, unusual, or new — don’t wait. Speak to a healthcare professional as soon as possible.
💗 Remember:
Early detection gives you more options, more hope, and more time.
Make self-examination a regular habit. Encourage the women (and men) in your life to do the same.
Together, let’s spread the message:
Look. Touch. Feel. Because awareness saves lives.
