Spin Doktor Mastan - Turntable Repair and Sales

Spin Doktor Mastan - Turntable Repair and Sales I repair and sell turntables especially Lencos which I am a specialist in. Contact me on Facebook vi These are my first memories of music and machines.

Some people call me Mastan Barber others just Mastan but everyone knows my passion for fixing turntables, especially Lencos. They send in their turntables to get better, to basically get it to spin again, hence the name Spin Doktor Mastan. For the good part of 20 years, when I am not at the barber shop, I have been repairing and selling turntables/recordplayers from my humble home in Pasir Ris, Singapore. Only relying on satisfied customers to spread the word previously and spurred by my friends and rising sales for vinyl LPs globally, I am now ready to take this to the next frontier and reach my audience in the online world. Record players and music have been my passion for the past 50 years. As a child because we could not afford a simple music setup, my father would bring me to the neighbor’s house to listen to music. I got hooked and when I was old enough to afford my own setup, I learnt how these things worked and in the process learnt how to repair them. It was a trial and error process but am glad that my many customers are happy with my service and quality.

50 years later and still in love with music, I am so happy to get the chance to spread this love to others by fixing their old turntables and/or selling one my lovely refurbished sets. I especially love Lenco record players and am a known specialist in repairing these wonderful sophisticated machines. Tell me what you want and I’ll try to get it for you within your said budget. Thank you for your support and we are proud to announce Spin Doktor Mastan is now officially in business! Best,
Mastan,

nothing is impossible.

In 2004, five-year-old Xu Yanfeng boarded an airplane for the very first time. Like many excited children, he was curious about everything around him. During the flight, he had a photo taken with a friendly China Eastern Airlines flight attendant named Fang Xuan. It was a simple picture, and neither of them could have imagined how special it would become years later.

Fifteen years passed. Xu grew up with a dream of working in aviation. As a third-year student at the Civil Aviation Flight Academy of China, he began his internship with China Eastern Airlines in 2019.

One day, while meeting the airline's staff, Xu saw a familiar face. It was Fang Xuan, the same flight attendant who had taken a photo with him on his first flight as a little boy. He recognized her immediately. To his surprise, Fang also remembered the young boy from that flight years earlier.

After learning about their heartwarming connection, the airline arranged for Xu to complete his internship under Fang's guidance. What had started as a chance meeting on an airplane had come full circle.

To celebrate the moment, Xu and Fang recreated the same photograph they had taken 15 years earlier. The new photo was placed beside the old one, showing how much Xu had grown while Fang looked remarkably unchanged.

The touching story quickly spread across the world. Millions of people loved seeing the reunion and admired the special bond created by one small act of kindness. It became a reminder that even a simple moment can leave a lasting memory and bring people together many years later.

May Allah blessed you Captain Rest in peae.

On June 24, 1982, British Airways Flight 9 was flying high over the Indian Ocean at 37,000 feet. Suddenly, a strange emergency began.

All four engines on the big Boeing 747 airplane stopped working, one right after the other, in just a few minutes. The crew and the 263 people on board had no idea what was wrong. In the middle of the night, the giant 170-ton plane was forced to glide silently through the dark sky without any power.

The pilot, Captain Eric Moody, stayed completely calm. He spoke into the microphone to talk to the passengers, using words that people still talk about today. He said: "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem. All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them going again. I trust you are not in too much distress."

As the plane kept dropping toward the ocean, oxygen masks fell from the ceiling. Scared passengers began writing final goodbye notes to their families. In the cockpit, the pilots tried over and over to restart the engines, but nothing worked. Finally, as the plane descended into thicker air closer to the ground, the engines cooled down, and they roared back to life one by one.

Even though the engines were running, the danger was not over. The pilots could not see out of the front windows because the glass had been badly scratched and made blurry during the flight. Captain Moody had to land the massive plane at the airport in Jakarta, Indonesia, by looking almost entirely at his cockpit instruments and peering through a tiny clear strip at the very edge of the window.

Luckily, the plane landed safely, and every single person on board survived without injury.

Later, experts found out that the plane had accidentally flown into a massive cloud of volcanic ash from the eruption of Mount Galunggung.

The ash cloud did not show up on the plane's weather radar, and it was completely invisible in the dark night sky. The tiny pieces of rock had melted inside the super-hot jet engines and choked them shut. The hardened material only broke away after the engines cooled down at lower heights.

This famous event changed aviation safety forever and led to the creation of special tracking centers to warn future flights about volcanic ash. Captain Eric Moody passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 18, 2024, at the age of 82, and he is still remembered as a true hero.
