The Toy Folks Our store has its roots in the same location since the 1990s, cosily tucked in the basement of Forum The Shopping Mall.

The Toy Folks is an independent book and toy store in Singapore specialising in quality and curated arts and crafts, educational toys, books and games for kids 0 – 12 years of age. We're proud to continue the heritage of the store, and to bring the best of books and toys that enrich children’s lives and add lasting value to building children’s foundations.

This Children’s Day, we decided to hand the mic over to our kiddos at the shop to ask them some questions 💭

We will never tire of their perspective on things big and small around us. A reminder for the rest of us to approach life with curiosity, wonder, hope, and (sometimes brutal) honesty!

One of the things we love about Story Time Chess is how it grows with your child (apart from how hilarious & relatable it is) 💛

After learning the basics & how each piece moves in Level 1, Levels 2 & 3 help deepen their understanding of chess by introducing new strategies, tactical ideas & more thoughtful gameplay. A great next step for budding chess players!! ♟️✨

From 21-30 August, we'll once again be filling Forum The Shopping Mall with books (and some toys) we've carefully selected for readers of all ages. From board books and picture books to activity books, educational titles, science reads, arts & culture books, and a growing collection of Chinese storybooks, there's plenty to discover 📖
