The main parts for BrLog Settling Jack are ready for assembly! 💪

Notice the color? It isn't powder-coated—and that's intentional. While powder coating can chip or peel over time, we've chosen zinc flake coating instead.

Never heard of it? That's because it's a coating often used in military applications, where components need to withstand some of the harshest environments and offer exceptional corrosion protection.

So if it's good enough for military equipment, we're pretty confident it'll have no trouble spending its life on the dry porch.😉

A good news for those, who are not able to get hands on grieb pen cartridges. I developed a custom penholder using a readily available Fisher Space Pen cartridge (either PR1B for blue or PR4B for black ink).

Each penholder set includes:
Two penholders itself with a fitted Fisher cartridges
A limiter (to adjust and fix the pen length)
An Allen key for assembly

To install it, simply remove the limiter before inserting the penholder into your Grieb scriber. That’s it. Your beloved scriber is now reborn, ready to work for years to come with cartridges you can actually buy.

Set in place, tested and got amazing results.
There is going to be just one type with 36mm rod diameter and capable of supporting more than 20 tonns!

From now on, BrLog is also stepping into aeronautics!

Over the holidays, my cousin asked if I could make a sheet-metal spare part for an airplane. Why not? How hard could it be—and who cares about the consequences, right?

Here’s the deal: the Rockwell Commander 114 was produced from 1976 to ’79, and since the Rockwell company went bankrupt in 2002, spare parts are extremely hard to find. Metal rusts, of course, and the old elevator bracket on one of these machines had to be replaced.

Then my cousin told the owner: “My cousin can make it better and cheaper!”

Bam. Stainless steel elevator bracket.

Fingers crossed… I wouldn’t go on that plane. 😄✈️
