We accept ultra-processed food as normal.
We accept medication as part of everyday life.
We accept industries making billions from both.

Yet for decades, we were taught to fear a plant.

Cannabis was criminalized, stigmatized and pushed into the shadows long before most people were given the opportunity to understand what the plant actually is, what it contains, and what science has to say about it.

Today, we know the story is far more complex.

Cannabis contains numerous biologically active compounds, including cannabinoids such as THC and CBD. Some have legitimate therapeutic applications. Cannabis can also carry real risks.

Both facts can exist at the same time.

This isn't about saying pharmaceutical medicine is the enemy. Modern medicine saves lives.

And it isn't about pretending cannabis is harmless or some miracle cure.

The problem begins when knowledge is replaced by extremes:

“Cannabis is poison.”
“Cannabis cures everything.”

Neither is the truth. Neither helps us understand the plant.

So perhaps the real question is:
Why are we so comfortable accepting some things without question, while condemning others without understanding them?

After decades of prohibition, stigma and misinformation, cannabis doesn't need another myth.

Removing leaves before drying can accelerate moisture loss, while leaving more plant material around the flowers can slow it down. Hand / machine trimming also differs in precision, processing speed and the amount of mechanical contact with the flower.

There is no universal method — the appropriate approach depends on flower structure, moisture content and drying conditions.
