Wild one. Fable 5 just vanished from Claude.

Opened it today and the model list is only Opus, Sonnet and Haiku now. No Fable 5, no Mythos 5.

What happened: the US government told Anthropic to block both models from foreign nationals over a security flaw that could slip past the model's safeguards. Instead of doing it country by country, Anthropic just pulled them for everyone.

And honestly the funniest part, Anthropic pushed back and said the flaw was already known and pretty minor. They complied anyway.

A frontier model gone overnight because of a government order. What a time to be online.
