It’s commonly used for healing, relaxation, and hygiene—especially after childbirth, during your period, or if you have irritation down there.

🌿 What sitz bath salts do
They help to:

Soothe pain and discomfort (tears, stitches, hemorrhoids)

Reduce swelling and inflammation

Promote faster healing

Cleanse the intimate area gently

Relax your body (and honestly… your mind too)

Most sitz salts contain ingredients like:

Epsom salt (for muscle relaxation and healing)

Sea salt (cleansing)

Herbs like chamomile or lavender (calming and anti-inflammatory)

🛁 How to take a sitz bath (step-by-step)

Option 1: Using a bathtub
Fill your tub with warm water (not hot)

Add 1/2 to 1 cup of sitz bath salts

Stir until dissolved

Sit in the water so it covers your lower body
