3 Weeks to Go till
The Ngwenya Glass Mountain Bike Challenge and Oracle Trail Run

Important information for everyone!!❗️❗️❗️

When: 21 May 2022
Where: Ngwenya Glass Swaziland
Who: Mountain bikers and Trail Runners of all abilities

Mountain Bike Distances and Start times: 75km (8.30am), 50km (9am) and 25km (9:30am), 7km (9:40am) Kiddies ride.

Oracle Trail Run Distances: 17km (6:30am) and 7km (6:30am).
Oracle Swaziland are our Trail Run partners this year, healthy rewards for everyone!

Entries are coming in and we are getting our ducks in a row for an awesome day of cycling and running.

For those of you who have not entered, or have friends and family who have not entered, hurry along now! Enter online at www.mtb.ngwenyaglass.co.sz/events, we are going to be cutting entries off at 400 for the bikers and 150 for the runners, so do not miss out.

Timing:
The event is not going to be officially timed, self-timing is recommended.

Route:
Due to the excessive rainfall we have experienced in our part of the world over the past few months, we have been forced to change our route significantly. Large stretches of our usual route are either under water or extremely waterlogged, and are therefore not conducive to good flowing riding or running.

Our new route is now a 25km loop that can be enjoyed, once, twice or 3 times. Circuit riding is how the UCI organise their professional MTB cross country events.

MTB Race Start Times. Slightly later start to let the sun warm the valley!
75km – 8:30am 50km – 8.50am 20km – 9:15am 7km – 9:25am

Trail Run Race Start Times. Slightly later start to let the sun warm the valley!
16km – 6:30 am 7km – 6:30 am

On the Day
There will be food aplenty throughout the day, starting with coffee and breakfast rolls for the early birds, Live music and a festive atmosphere will follow later, with many different food and drinks options.

The annual Ngwenya Glass sale will be on whilst stock lasts. Bring your family and friends to enjoy the day in our gardens whilst you are out on the trail. Showers available for all participants.

Once again we will be raising funds for our 2 charities Cheshire Homes Eswatini and Eswatini Anti-Venom Foundation.
