Opinion:

In this day and age, with all the confusion surrounding gender identity, I would not necessarily advise my son to marry a woman without first getting to know her intimately and understanding who she truly is. Some people may present themselves as women but may have a biological history or identity that their partner was not aware of. For me, honesty and openness between potential partners are extremely important.

When it comes to sin, I believe that as long as we are human, none of us can claim to be completely free from sin. Our salvation does not come from our own righteousness but from the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. If we were capable of achieving perfect self-righteousness, we would have no need for Jesus. Grace is therefore at the centre of our Christian walk.

Marriage while still a virgin has its own advantages, just as having s*xual experience before marriage comes with its own realities. However, neither approach guarantees a successful marriage.

My takeaway is this: there is no guarantee that a marriage will succeed simply because two people waited until marriage to have s*x, just as having s*x before marriage does not automatically mean the marriage will fail.
A successful marriage requires much more. You need to understand yourself—your character, values, weaknesses, expectations, and the kind of person you are. Then you need to seek a partner whose character and values are reasonably compatible with yours. Even then, there is an element of wisdom, timing, circumstances, and, yes, sometimes simply being fortunate.

Both believers and non-believers can have successful or unsuccessful marriages. Being a Christian does not make anyone immune to life's challenges, just as being a non-believer does not automatically make someone incapable of having a good marriage.
At the end of the day, no one is completely immune to the realities of this world. Marriage requires wisdom, honesty, compatibility, commitment, maturity, communication—and, for those who believe, the grace of God.

ABOUT DISRUPTIVE LEADERSHIP

What is disruptive leadership?
At its simplest, disruptive leadership is leadership that deliberately challenges established ways of doing things and creates significant change rather than merely improving the existing system.
A disruptive leader asks:
“Why are we doing it this way, and what would happen if we fundamentally changed the way we do it?”

The concept is closely related to Clayton Christensen's theory of disruptive innovation, although disruptive leadership and disruptive innovation are not the same thing. Christensen's original work concerns how new approaches can challenge established organisations and markets; the term has subsequently been applied more broadly to leadership.

There is also explicit academic literature using the term “disruptive leadership.” For example, Jan-Benedict Steenkamp's 2021 study of Admiral Jacky Fisher describes disruptive leadership as a form of leadership capable of fundamentally changing an established organisation and identifies six characteristics of such leadership.

What makes a leader “disruptive”?
A disruptive leader typically:

Challenges the status quo rather than accepting “this is how we have always done it.”

Questions established assumptions and procedures.

Introduces new ways of working, including new technologies and organisational processes.
Acts decisively during periods of change.

Creates new possibilities, rather than simply solving existing problems.

Accepts calculated risk where maintaining the status quo presents a greater risk.

Challenges institutional complacency.

Mobilises people around a new vision or way of operating.

Importantly, disruptive does not mean destructive. A disruptive leader is not simply someone who causes conflict, breaks rules, or deliberately creates disorder.
The objective is constructive disruption: changing an ineffective system so that it becomes significantly better.

Disruptive vs. transformational leadership

This is where the distinction becomes particularly interesting.
Transformational leadership

Disruptive leadership
Inspires people toward a compelling vision

Challenges the existing system itself
Transforms attitudes, culture and performance

May fundamentally redesign processes, structures or models
Often builds on the organisation's existing foundation

May question whether the existing foundation is still appropriate
Emphasises inspiration and motivation

Emphasises challenge, innovation and fundamental change
“Let's become much better.”

“Do we need to do this this way at all?”

So, disruptive leadership can overlap substantially with transformational leadership, but it places greater emphasis on challenging established structures and assumptions.

Is it an established leadership “style”?

This needs careful wording.
I would not recommend saying:
“Disruptive leadership is one of the universally established classical leadership styles.”

That would overstate the academic consensus.

A more defensible statement is:

“Disruptive leadership is an emerging leadership concept/framework that describes leaders who intentionally challenge established practices, assumptions and organisational structures in order to produce significant innovation and change.”

This distinction matters because the academic literature on disruptive innovation is much more theoretically developed than the literature on disruptive leadership. A major review in the Journal of Management Studies notes that “disruptive innovation” itself has frequently been misunderstood and overextended in popular usage.

At the same time, the term disruptive leadership is appearing explicitly in scholarly work, including research in education and other professional context

An education example:

Imagine a teacher-training college

where:
timetables are still produced entirely manually;

student records are predominantly paper-based;

lecturers teach using methods that have remained unchanged for decades;

assessment processes are slow;
technology is available but rarely integrated into teaching;

decisions are made according to historical practices rather than current student needs.

A conventional improvement-oriented leader might say:

“Let us improve the existing timetable process.”

A transformational leader might say:
“Let us create a culture of innovation and motivate staff to embrace technology.”

A disruptive leader might ask:

“Why are we still designing the timetable this way? Why can't we redesign the entire academic-management process around digital systems, automation, data and AI?”

The difference is subtle but powerful.

The disruptive leader is not merely improving the existing model; they are questioning whether the existing model should continue to exist in its current form.

A particularly useful way to think about it
I would conceptualise disruptive leadership as:

Status quo → challenge assumptions → experiment → redesign → institutionalise successful innovation → continuously challenge again
It therefore has a strong relationship with innovation, digital transformation, organisational change and adaptive leadership.
And there is an important warning: being disruptive for its own sake is not good leadership. If a leader changes systems merely to appear innovative, the result can be confusion, resistance and organisational damage. The disruption should solve a meaningful problem or create meaningful value.

Bottom line
Yes — disruptive leadership exists as a recognised concept. However, academically, it is safer to describe it as an emerging leadership framework/concept rather than a universally established leadership style on the same theoretical footing as transformational, transactional or servant leadership.

In fact, for educational leadership, I think the concept is particularly interesting because it provides a vocabulary for something that conventional leadership models do not always capture well:

The leader who does not merely lead change within the existing system, but questions, redesigns and sometimes replaces the system itself.

That is the essence of disruptive leadership.
