Your filter pressure is trying to tell you something. 👀💦

Every pool has its own normal operating pressure, so the important number is your filter’s CLEAN pressure.

After cleaning or backwashing, note the PSI on the gauge. When the pressure rises about 10 PSI above that starting point, it’s generally time to clean or backwash again.

Example:
Clean pressure: 12 PSI
Time to clean: Around 22 PSI

Don’t wait for poor circulation or cloudy water to tell you the filter needs attention.

Strong UV rays can break down your pool’s chlorine surprisingly fast, leaving less available to keep the water clean and sanitized.

That’s where proper stabilizer (CYA) levels matter — it helps protect chlorine from UV loss. But balance is key: too much CYA can make chlorine less effective.
