House of Gems was founded in 1966 as a family showroom for The Star of Siam Limited Partnership, a gem-cutting business built on craftsmanship and care. Erb Sriuthai entrusted the shop to his daught

ers, making House of Gems a true family endeavor. In its early years, the shop focused on jewelry and gemstones cut in the partnership’s own factory. Boonman Poonyathiro joined the business, bringing a lifelong passion for minerals and fossils. The collection gradually expanded to include rough gemstones, mineral specimens, tektites, petrified wood, fossils, and meteorites—loved by both Thai and international visitors. Currently helmed by the third generation, Kathi and Kapook, the shop has evolved to make the beauty of natural stones more accessible for everyday life. Through our copper-wire wrapping service, we curate a collection of functional stone art—ranging from custom pendants and keychains to decorative charms and bookmarks.
