Ultralight stakes in general should never be hammered or they could get bent or damaged.
Hold your foot in both hands for stability, and guide the stake into the ground with your body weight.
If the ground is too solid to drive in stakes, anchor them with rocks instead.
Non-Freestanding tents can be pitched just about anywhere with a little creativity.
If the ground is too firm, wedge just the tip of your stakes in, and then anchor them with rocks.
If you are camped above tree line on stone, wrap the guy lines around rocks to anchor them.
On beach sand use rocks, driftwood, etc as anchors for the tent guylines.
On wooden tent platforms, you can wedge the stakes between the boards, or use extra line to tie off to the ends of the platform.
There are many ways to make it work if you use your imagination.

Our Brushtail Possum gloves are produced by combining the fur of New Zealand's brushtail possum and New Zealand Merino lamb's wool.
The hair of brushtail possum is hollow, just like Polar Bear hair, which provides incredible warmth and water resistant.
While typical wool gloves may stay warm when wet, they take forever to dry.
If you put these gloves in water, the water shakes right out and they dry quickly.
New Zealand's possums are unrelated to the opossums found in the United States.
They are super cute, but they are also an invasive species that destroy the native plant and bird life.

・ Our tent poles are made from high-quality wrapped carbon fiber tubing with internal carbon ferrules.
The tubes are stiff and have a high strength to weight ratio.

・ Straight tent poles are an alternative way to pitch tents and tarps that are designed to be set up with trekking poles.
This carbon is rigid, unlike dome-style tent poles.

・ The poles are cut to fold flush with equal length sections.
They are bound together with shock cord.
The ends have vinyl end caps.

・ Our poles have a short folded length, which makes them easy to pack up with your tent (in a tent pole sack).

・ If you want to use these with a tarp, or on an exterior tent pull out, you might want a trekking pole cup to hold it in place.

・ If you want to keep your poles organized or protect your tent fabric from the pole(s), add our Tent Pole Sack.

・ We do not do any carbon cutting, but you can cut these down yourself with a hacksaw or rotary saw.
Just cut off the end and replace the vinyl end cap.

・The Ultra 200 and Hybrid DCF versions have taped seams.
All versions have a water resistant zipper to keep most water out.
You may still want to line it with a zip lock as a precaution for electronics.

・The zipper is reinforced with rigid material allowing it to be operated with one hand.

・The fabric can withstand the abuse of being dragged on the ground each time you set your pack down.

・These clip to your pack's belt at each side with Loop Toggles for a secure hold.
