เวลาออกแบบศูนย์การค้า เรามักเริ่มจากคำถามง่าย ๆ ว่า คนจะมาถึงยังไง เดินยังไง นั่งพักตรงไหน และจะกลับบ้านด้วยความรู้สึกอย่างไร

เพราะโครงการที่ใช้งานได้ดี มักเกิดจากการเข้าใจพฤติกรรมของผู้คน มากกว่าการจัดร้านค้าให้ครบตามแผนผัง

1. การเข้าถึงต้องชัดตั้งแต่ก้าวแรก
ทางเข้าหลักควรอ่านง่าย จุดรับส่งผู้โดยสารไม่ขวางการจราจร และทางเดินจากลานจอดรถเข้าสู่อาคารควรมีร่มเงา ปลอดภัย และไม่ทำให้คนรู้สึกหลงทางตั้งแต่ยังไม่ทันได้ซื้อของ

2. ผังพื้นที่ต้องพาคนเดินต่อได้เอง
เส้นทางหลักควรเชื่อมร้านค้าสำคัญ ร้านอาหาร และพื้นที่กิจกรรมเข้าด้วยกัน ถ้ามีทางตันหรือมุมอับ คนมักเลี่ยง และร้านบริเวณนั้นก็จะเงียบตามไปด้วย การวางผังที่ดีจึงช่วยกระจายคนไปทั่วโครงการได้อย่างเป็นธรรมชาติ

3. ร้านค้าควรสัมพันธ์กับชีวิตประจำวันของพื้นที่นั้น
การคัดร้านควรมองว่าใครจะมาใช้จริงในแต่ละวัน ทั้งร้านที่ดึงคนเข้ามา ร้านอาหาร คาเฟ่ ร้านบริการ และร้านท้องถิ่นที่ทำให้โครงการมีตัวตน ถ้าร้านค้าสัมพันธ์กันดี คนจะเดินต่อได้ยาวขึ้นโดยไม่รู้สึกว่าถูกบังคับ

4. ต้องมีที่ให้คนอยู่ได้ ไม่ใช่ให้เดินผ่านอย่างเดียว
ที่นั่งพัก พื้นที่สีเขียว แสงธรรมชาติ และบรรยากาศที่สบาย มีผลมากต่อการที่คนจะอยู่ต่อ หลายคนมาพบปะ พาครอบครัวเดินเล่น หรือรอระหว่างทำธุระ ถ้าพื้นที่น่าอยู่ คนก็มีเหตุผลที่จะใช้เวลานานขึ้น

5. การหาทางในโครงการต้องไม่ทำให้คนเหนื่อย
ป้ายบอกทาง ลิฟต์ บันไดเลื่อน ห้องน้ำ และจุดบริการควรมองเห็นง่าย โดยเฉพาะในโครงการขนาดใหญ่ ถ้าหาทางกลับรถหรือหาห้องน้ำไม่เจอ ประสบการณ์ทั้งวันอาจพังได้ง่าย ๆ

6. พื้นที่ควรเผื่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงไว้ด้วย
พฤติกรรมการซื้อของเปลี่ยนเร็ว ร้านค้าจึงควรปรับขนาดได้ พื้นที่กลางควรจัดกิจกรรมหรือตลาดชั่วคราวได้ และควรมีจุดรองรับการรับสินค้าจากช่องทางออนไลน์ เพราะโครงการที่ปรับตัวได้ มักอยู่ได้นานกว่าโครงการที่ออกแบบมาแบบตายตัว

สรุปสั้น ๆ คือ ศูนย์การค้าที่ประสบความสำเร็จ คือพื้นที่ที่คนเข้ามาแล้วรู้เรื่อง เดินสบาย ใช้ชีวิตได้จริง และอยากกลับมาอีก

Last Friday, 7 August, Design 103 Group had the pleasure of welcoming students from Vajiravudh College to our office.

It was a great opportunity to share insights into architecture, interior design, and the creative process, while giving the students a closer look at how a professional design practice works.

โฮมโปรแต่ละสาขาที่ออกแบบโดยสถาปนิกดีไซน์ 103 มีจุดร่วมที่เหมือนกันคือทรงจั่วของบ้าน ซึ่งแต่ละสาขามีบริบทที่แตกต่างกัน ดังเช่นโฮมโปร สมุย ที่มีการออกแบบให้เกิดลวดลายที่ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจาก 'ใบมะพร้าว' เพื่อให้ความรู้สึกใกล้ชิดกับทะเล

Each HomePro branch designed by Design 103 shares a common architectural element: the gabled roof form of a house. However, each location responds to its own context. For example, HomePro Samui incorporates patterns inspired by “coconut leaves,” creating a visual language that evokes a close connection to the sea.
