Meet Mala Tara, a whole-flower tea brand based in the US, and rooted in Thailand’s floral heritage. Boutiques Asia will be the first time co-founder Pui brings Mala Tara back home to Thailand, and we are delighted to have the brand join the Boutiques community and make their Asia debut with us.

Best known for its signature leather flats, Anothersole began its journey with Boutiques as a nascent online-only brand. Since then, the brand has grown its collection of design-led footwear and now have five stores across Singapore, with shoes loved by travellers all round the world. These shoes not only look and feel good — a portion of proceeds go towards supporting children in need. We are always proud to have brands that give back among our community, and cannot wait for Anothersole to join us at Boutiques Asia.

Boutiques began in 2002 with just 16 brands and a simple idea that meaningful connections can transform the experience of shopping — and help shape the future of a brand. This belief in community has guided all of our decisions ever since.

While we are proud to be known and loved for the scale and curation we have achieved today, it's the smaller stories that stay with us. The first-time designer who discovers confidence in a supportive community. The customer who becomes a fierce advocate after meeting a designer in person. Collaborations sparked when brands cross paths as neighbours at our events. Ultimately, we are a community powered by creativity and connection.

This is how we know we are ready for a new chapter. In 2026, Boutiques expands regionally as Boutiques Asia, with our first stop in Bangkok 🇹🇭 Just as we've done in Singapore, we’re building a platform where designers across Asia can grow together through shared experiences and creative community. Applications for Boutiques Asia: The Bangkok Edition 2026 are officially open! 🇹🇭✨
By popular request, we are taking the spirit of Boutiques beyond Singapore, and inviting independent designers and brand founders to grow with us on a regional stage.

The inaugural edition will be hosted at ICONSIAM, an award-winning destination for design, culture, and retail. We will offer a platform to connect with a mix of design-curious locals, international visitors, and media, all in one of Asia’s most exciting retail locations.

Boutiques Asia is built for brands ready to explore new markets and grow without the high overheads of going it alone. The event continues to be led by the same team behind our Singapore events, with the same standard of curation, a community-first ethos, and over 20 years of operational excellence.
