Come on, MENG... I honestly don't understand why you designed the vertical tails this way. They should have been molded as two full halves that simply sandwich together, not with one side split into separate pieces.

The F-35's vertical tails have raised RAM tape lines, but the rest of the surface is smooth and continuous. By breaking the parts up like this, you've created unnecessary seams right across areas that should be perfectly seamless, making cleanup much harder than it needs to be.

Probably the most difficult part of building this kit is eliminating the seam where the wings join the fuselage.

Working on the weapons bay wiring of the Meng 1/48 F-35A.

Meng included molded cable details, but honestly, they make the painting process a lot more challenging. I ended up replacing them with black fishing line, which was much easier to work with and gave a cleaner result.
